Sea Salt (Naples FL)

If you're looking for cool meats and a hip atmosphere, come on down to Naples, Florida, where there is a funky restaurant called Sea Salt. SeaSalt is inspired by its location which is close to the water and has perfected some of the most delicious seafood that I have ever tasted. Chef Fabrizio Aielli brings home cooking recipes, learned from his Venetian mother, while exploring different methods and putting all of his heart into it. As far as possible, ingredients come from local producers and markets and the disherfolk. Chef Fabrizio Aielli is using organic and local produce, wild caught seafood, poultry and meat raised naturally without hormones, antibiotics or animal by-products whenever possible, emphasizing fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Recommendations

Personally, I prefer fish over meat. One of my favorite dishes there is the blackened grouper. Its prepared with 5 spices and served with asparagus, finger link potatoes and roasted tomatoes. Its so juicy and since it's blackened, it gets more flavor.
Also, they prepare a red snapper that is to die for. They make the whole fish and bring it out to you, nice and hot, straight from the grill.
For an appetizer, I would recommend the blue point oysters. From Connecticut, since they are on the East Coast, I find them less briny then the ones on the West Coast. Also, you should try the Tuna TarTar, over a bed of avocado topped with arugula and hot and sweet chili sauce.
Sea Salt also has the best cotton candy you will ever taste! They start mixing it in a mixer and have it go round and round and round until its the size of your head! Once you put it in your mouth, you have only a few seconds to try it because it literally melts in your mouth! Sea Salt is also known for their salt. Tons of different kinds of salt, with flavors from light and sweet to hot and spicy. My favorite salt there is the Ghost Pepper salt Which I had with bread and olive oil.

Attire

For dress attire, I would say, nice but not too fancy, remember Sea Salt has a funky theme. Also remember that your in Florida so its not cold, but jeans would be nice in the night, if you get a little chilly. The restaurant is a kid friendly place, but parents and couples, feel free to leave your kids at home if you just want some time for yourselves.
